Overview: Basrah

First of all, our Basrah commentary will be moved to tomorrow due to the devs destruction - we will combine them!

We will give you an overview of Basrah anyway.

It is, like the other maps in P4F, a 32-player-map. Unfortunately you have no acces to any kind of vehicles. Still, the infantry warfare is not limited to small corners like Sharqi. You have multiple large-scaled sequences followed by some tiny ways through buildings. In general, you will often get into situations where counter-sniping is necessary. On the other hand, any class can do pretty good here. Snipers seem to be the main force tho, as there are multiple buildings and good hiding spots. Still, all other branches have good abilitys.

Assaults can push up to a certain base and secure it, they are definately needed here. As always, taking flags is very important and due to the lack of vehicles you can't call tank support. On the other hand, assaults using grenades are not that effective. By the way, shotgun-snipers with claymores and nades have not the best opportunities either.

Medics are as usefull as snipers. First of all, they can revive and heal up teammates. Playing the medic-role will lead you in deadly situations tho, as you will have to run across streets very often, so you become an easy target for hostile snipers. Still, you will be rewarded. Further, you have the ability to push the snipers back. With your machine gun you can surpress them easily and help your teammates to take them out.

Engineers are the worst class on Basrah. You have barely close quarters and there are no vehicles at all. Still, you are able to avoid the large-scaled firefights and get at least into medium distances. Further, engineers can do well while taking flags.

That's it, lean back and wait for video tomorrow.
