There have been several cases of this now: You buy your gun forever, check back the next day and it is expired. However, here's a quick solution for you if you experience that problem.
First of all, you should contact the customer support. Never ever forget to include a screenshot of your purchase history and another screenshot of your storage showing the expired gun, as this is the only way to proof that your gun has expired.
However, there have been cases where regular customer support said "no, we can't help you." Then you should contact the customer support via live chat. Browse to http://support.ea.com/ and chose live chat as an option. The agent is forced to reply quick and will more then likely give you the gun back - or at least add the needed amount of Battlefunds to your account, so you can re-purchase it.
