EA-Hate has announced that spotting assissts and multiple other score points will be implemented in one of the next patches for the game.
Spotting assisst works the following way: You spot an enemy by hitting Q+Left mouse button. Then a teammate kills him and you will get a reward. That system already exists in Bad Company 2, there you get 20 points per spotting assisst. We are excited what the other rewards will look like.
